I’m sure by now most of you have read or heard about “handshakegate” at Corus. It’s a pretty pathetic episode but it sure makes for some entertaining reading. More here and here. (and on about a million other blogs)
All of a sudden, everybody seems to focus more on handshakes than on chess. There sure seem to be a lot of drama queens playing chess these days...

I was going to correct you and say "drama kings" but y'know it's really more accurate the way you have it! :)
I hadn't heard about this before reading about it on your blog. Utterly ridiculous! That's all I can say. How unsportsmanlike, how petty, how... silly.
Crap like this gives chess a bad name.

The good part about all this is no one cares about chess, so it doesn't have that much of a name to be sullied.
