Mighty Magnus Did It Again

I think I have a man crush or something like that. This kid is just so cool, I really hope he becomes world champion one day. For now, he continues to prove his strength with wins like this in the first round of the M-Tel Masters in Bulgaria, against Topalov.

He sure can play chess! Strong enough to become world champion for sure but question is how he will handle the stress in such high level match.

I guess Ivanchuck needs a rest, he is playing to much what hampers his chess.

chesstiger: yeah, Ivanchuck's results in the past few tournaments have been comparatively bad, it's almost like he's burnt out... Like you say, it could be because he's playing way too much, he seems to be in every single tournament out there.

As long as you dont use the term Bromance its all good :). Lets hope he keeps going strong and doesnt burn out.

Pawn Shaman - LOL... yeah I'll stay away from that term!

Carlsen beat Wang Yue today, so he's the sole leader with 6.0. One more game to go!

He's my favorite too. I am going to once again predict that he is going over 2800 this year, I thought he would do it last year but they seemed to figure him out for a little while. In any case I think in 3 years it is Radja, Carlsen, and Karjakin as the top three in the world.

hey good to see u blogging again kevin. yeah he seems capable of breaking 2800... he certainly didn't do too bad at the León Masters, even if that was "just" rapid.
